Distressing.....

Have you ever been "out of your element"? I love the distressed look on cards! I just think they have a very unique look. A good friend of mine, is the Queen of distress! She can take any image, any dp and make it look fab. Me? Well lets just say I have to do it with earth tones. But then I haven't tried any other colors really. This took me forever. I had fun, but actually had to walk away a few times to re-group the thinking process! Dp paper was easy. I bought this great kit from Loreen a while back and it has this great distress look to it. The base card is some very old cs I had in my stash that I knew I was saving for a reason! I used my TH ruler to make the stitch holes and sewed with DMC #938. The ribbon is awesome, double sided and cannot remember where I got it, maybe off ebay. I had the tag and added my gromet to it.The flowers were punched with my SU flower punch, I distressed the edges of those and used my TH distressed inks on the sides. The buttons from my button stash, sewn with #938. My chipboard elements are from TAC. I colored Holly with my prisma's and copics.
My hubby looked at it and said its a lot easier to distress wood with a hammer!
Thanks Joel! LOL
Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone has a great weekend!
