This is my first time ever in doing a Layout Challenge for the Magnolia-licious group! I own the group! LOL Not that I haven't wanted to, just time gets away and before you know it, another month came and went! So this month, I told myself I was going to start doing them! There is a new blog for the Magnolia-licious DT layout challenge, Magnolia-licicious Highlites! Stop by and check out the great cards! This great layout is from DT member Kerry D-C.
I used New Years Tilda, I think she's cute for anytime of the year! I used copics and Prisma's to color her. All the paper is from my stash and the same with the brads. The ribbon is from JoAnn's and is spose to be for the wedding cake! LOL I bought a few extra rolls! The edging was done with MS border punch, and my oval nesties.
I had a hard time with this card. For one thing I searched the house for something round to make my 1/2 circle. Finally used a glad plastic container from the cupboard! I cut the DP 5.5x5.5 and then cut my white CS 5.5x5.5 and it looked aweful. Took a 12x12 and cut it 5.75 square and got a border, which afterwards thought WHY WHITE?? To late now. I also have the other white layer under the DP! Finally called it a card, and I was done! I might have to play with another one!
Hope everyone is having a great week!
Thanks for stopping by!

Awww, she is so cute! Love the ribbon...wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteThis is just fabulous, Deb!!! As always:)
ReplyDeleteFunny you should confess the struggle you had making the card. I had the same issues! I struggled with card size and circle until I remembered I had the Creative Memories Circle cutting system. DUH! I cut up I don't know how much paper, which ended in the trash (and I try to hide that from DH so he doesn't know I'm using up so much paper!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with the sketch and your Tilda is so cute. The ribbon is like death by chocolate! What a great card....
LOL!!! You used a plastic container?? Why didn't you just use George?? All the same, she's cute and I love the ribbon detail and all the punched embellishments. {{{xx}}}
